In 2023, the Academy of Future Ocean (AFO) firmly implemented the strategic deployment of the 11^th Party Congress of OUC, striving to explore and create a top-notch innovative talent development mode in the field of marine sciences. The goal is to host world-class cutting-edge academic events, focusing on the main line of cultivating outstanding innovative graduate students, and successfully organized 30 Future Ocean Forums.

Future Ocean Forum is one of the most influential series of high-level world-class international academic events in the field of marine sciences in China. In 2023, the Academy invited 8 academicians from home and abroad, as well as 4 fellows of renowned international societies.
