On March 22, at the joint invitation of Prof. Li Jianping, Dean of the Academy of Future Ocean, and Prof. Dong Lu, a Ph.D. supervisor of the Academy of Future Ocean, Prof. Michael J. McPhaden from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) delivered an academic lecture titled“A Year in the Hothouse: El Niño, Global Warming and 2023 Climate Extremes”at Future Ocean Forum. The lecture was jointly hosted by Dean Li and Prof. Dong Lu, and was attended by over 23,000 participants, including students from the AFO.
