Celebrating OUC's Centennial: Series of Academic Seminar by 100 PhD Students Kicks Off
On the morning of April 9, the Academy of Future Ocean's Series of Academic Seminar by 100 PhD Students to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ocean University of China kicked off at the Laoshan campus. Outstanding PhD students majoring in Physical Oceanography, Marine Geology, Atmospheric Science, Marine Chemistry, and Aquatic Biology delivered academic presentations. Prof. Li Jianping, Dean of the Academy of Future Ocean, attended the event and gave an opening speech.
The academic seminar series is part of the Future Ocean Institute's celebrations for the university's centenary. It began in April 2024 and will continue for over six months, with 20 sessions scheduled through early October, each featuring presentations by five outstanding doctoral students. We also plan to roll out a range of other centenary events, including Ocean Embraces Every Stream, Imagining the Future's Gleam; Many Voices, Insights Shared, Shaping the Future; Minds Prepared, A Century of Growth, A Legacy, From Roots to Branches, the Future We'll See.
